Dolly Parton’s Nashville Hotel Is Opening This Month
If Nashville wasn’t already on your weekend getaway list, Dolly Parton is giving fans one more reason to make the trip.
Just weeks after the beloved country icon died at age 80, one of her final projects is preparing to open its doors. The highly anticipated SongTeller Hotel will officially debut in downtown Nashville on September 29, offering fans a new way to experience and celebrate Parton’s extraordinary life and legacy.
Located at 211 Commerce Street, between Lower Broadway and 2nd Avenue, the 245-room boutique hotel puts guests right in the heart of Music City.
And this isn’t just a Dolly-themed place to sleep.
The entire 20,000-square-foot third floor will be home to Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum, the largest exhibition ever dedicated to Parton’s life. The immersive experience will take visitors through her journey from growing up in the Smoky Mountains to becoming one of the most recognizable entertainers in the world, with personal stories, memorabilia and interactive exhibits along the way.
Visitors will even be able to step inside a recreation of Parton’s childhood Tennessee cabin, while technology filmed before her passing will allow a virtual Dolly to guide guests through parts of her story.
Downstairs, the Dolly experience continues. SongTeller will feature live music venues Parton’s Live and Jolene’s, along with a café, bringing plenty of Nashville energy beyond the guest rooms.
The hotel’s opening carries even more meaning following Parton’s passing, transforming one of her final projects into a permanent celebration of the music, stories and larger-than-life personality that made generations fall in love with her.
Reservations open September 14, ahead of the hotel and museum’s September 29 debut.
